Marmalade accepts cash, and with accompanying ID, the following forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Personal and Business Checks, and Travelers Checks. Additionally, Marmalade offers Gift Certificates. WHAT IS MARMALADE'S RETURN POLICY? No Refunds. Store credit or exchanges only within two weeks of date of purchase, with accompanying receipt. DOES MARMALADE WARRANTY THEIR PIECES? Yes, for two weeks from the date of purchase. Customers need to note that most of Marmalade’s jewelry pieces are costume or beaded works. As such, they need to be handled with genuine care. Additionally, as nearly all of Marmalade’s merchandise is openly laid out to be examined and tried on; all customers must examine pieces very carefully and thoroughly before purchase to be certain they are in pristine condition. WHAT SEMI-PRECIOUS GEMS DOES MARMALADE CARRY? Turquoise, coral, mother of pearl, amber, chalcedony, drusy, gaspeite, citrine, lapis, moonstone, amethyst, garnet, moonstone, pearl, rhodochrosite, rose quartz, peridot, agate, amber, blue topaz, fluorite, jade, lapis, malachite and countless others! DOES MARMALADE GIFT WRAP THEIR PIECES? Yes. Marmalade's standard gift wrap is natural-colored boxes with Marmalade full-color stickers and corresponding tissue paper. DOES MARMALADE PERFORM JEWELRY REPAIRS? Generally speaking, no. Please bear in mind that many of Marmalade’s jewelry pieces are purchased from all over the world, and so cannot be returned to the originating manufacturer without incurring a prohibitive expense. WHO DOES THE BUYING FOR MARMALADE? Owner, Shirin Alikhani scours the globe looking for unique, distinctive pieces. She has the uncanny ability to purchase a wide range of styles and designs that have mass appeal, whether the customer is a 12 year old girl spending her Marmalade Gift Certificate, or a woman looking to match a special dress she intends to wear to her 30-year high school reunion. DOES MARMALADE EVER REVIEW NEW PIECES TO ADD TO THEIR COLLECTIONS? Yes – however, potential new vendors need to keep in mind that Marmalade tries to keep all retail prices very reasonable – with most jewelry averaging in the $30 price range. Given the standard 100% markup, this means that average pieces are purchased at around $15. DOES MARMALADE HAVE A MAILING LIST? Yes, albeit email-based. HOW OFTEN DOES MARMALADE'S INVENTORY CHANGE? Every day. Marmalade has a very high turn-over, and new pieces, whether they be jewelry, barrettes, watches, hats, belts, purses, scarves, gloves, slippers, key chains are introduced every day. Without exaggeration, there is something new to see each and every day! DOES MARMALADE HAVE A LAY-AWAY POLICY? No, however, items may be held for 24 hours, unless special arrangements are made with owner, Shirin. WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO IN EVERGREEN BEFORE OR AFTER SHOPPING AT MARMALADE? Scenario #1: Before shopping at Marmalade, you may want to walk around beautiful Evergreen Lake. The walk is predominantly very flat, and is only 1.25 miles. After walking, you could cross the street and have a latte at Caffé di Lucca. This will keep you sharp and alert for power shopping. Scenario #2: Sleep in, and sometime in the early afternoon, stop in at Creekside Cellars to have a chicken Panini sandwich, tiramisu and a glass of Creekside’s own 2003 Robusto. This will help get you in very happy form to do some fine, relaxed shopping. Scenario #3 (this will take all afternoon!): While en route to Marmalade, stop off at Evergreen Crafters. This shop has a very wide range of products for the weekend visit: traditional Picnic and wine picnic baskets, candy, souvenir t-shirts, holiday gifts, art pieces, jewelry and more! This is also a great shop to find unique gifts. Then on to Marmalade! Afterward, go right next door to the StoneHeart Gallery. StoneHeart has a fabulous number of one-of-a-kind paintings, photos and sculptures. This gallery is truly a feast for the eyes. If additional galleries interest you, walk north on Main Street to Evergreen Gallery and the Wild Eye Gallery. If you have time left over, stop into SoHo Evergreen restaurant and bar for a Cosmopolitan and some fabulous appetizers. WHERE'S A GOOD PLACE IN TOWN TO GRAB A BURGER? Definitely Little Bear Saloon. This restaurant/bar is legendary! You can select one of any number of burger choices, or try one of their special buffalo burgers. They even make their own French fries and pizza from scratch. This is also one of the best locations for seeing local bands "up-close and personal." Just check their website for dates/times. WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY WHILE VISITING EVERGREEN?
